The US Sony Xperia Z5 & Z5 Compact will not have a fingerprint sensor

Sony_Xperia_Z5_compared_review_81So as we all know the Xperia Z5 and Z5 compact will be coming out in the US next month but surprisingly without a highly anticipated feature, the finger print sensor. Officials over at Sony said they removed it because “It was a business decision”. Whatever that means.

Now knowing that they haven’t released a phone since 2013 we have been expecting this to be a huge release to revamp their cell phone division, and regain the popular demand for Xperia phones. But there still has to be a reason for not having the fingerprint sensor on the US variant, it would have been a great way to get more people in the US to buy the phone because most new Androids have a fingerprint sensor now and Sony needs to be able to compete with them as well. The only reason they didn’t put the fingerprint sensor on has to be because of financial issues, there’s no other reason because all the fingerprint sensor would have done if implemented on the US variant is boost the sales not decrease them.

The phones will still be great phones don’t get me wrong but they would be a lot better if Sony would just include the sensor instead of remove it for what ever their reasons are.
